Susan
Adams
has been a staff member
of the IMF for 20 years,
working as an economist
on may country desks,
as well as in human resources
and in the IMF Institute
as a lecturer. Her most
recent assignment was
as the Senior Resident
Representative in Vietnam
during 2001-2005, where
she helped direct a US$400
million PRGF program and
coordinated a wide array
of technical assistance
and capacity building
activities. |

Carson
McNeill is
the new Tax Administration
& Policy Advisor replacing
Mr Christophe Grandcolas.
Mr McNeill was employed
by the NZ IRD Office prior
to this new posting. |

Suhas
Joshi
is the Public
Financial Management Adviser
of the Centre. For the
two years prior to this
assignment, he was the
IMF Regional Adviser in
Anglophone West Africa
and also participated
in the ROSC mission to
Cyprus. Prior to that
he was the IMF Treasury
Advisor to Russia for
two and half years, and
later, for three years,
the IMF Fiscal Advisor
to Ghana. He has worked
extensively, for over
18 years in India, both
in central and line agencies
at the national level,
specializing in public
finance, capital restructuring
and capital markets. Mr.
Joshi holds a masters
degree in management from
India and an M.Sc. in
National Development and
Policy Planning from the
UK. |

Zia
Abbasi
is
the Multi-Sector Statistics
Advisor of the Centre.
Prior to his assignment
to the Res Rep Office
in Suva Fiji, he was
the Regional Multisector
Statistics Advisor (RMSA)
for Cambodia and Lao
PDR, IMF and Phnom Penh.
He was also the Branch
Head/Senior Executive
of the International
and Financial Accounts
Branch of the Australian
Bureau Statistics.Mr.
Abbasi holdsa master
degree in Economic Statistics,
Public Economic Policy;
Public Cost Benefit
Analysis and Diploma
Micro-economics.

John
Vaught is
the current Financial
Sector Supervision Advisor.
Prior to joining PFTAC,
he provided technical
assistance to a number
of countries under the
IMF technical assistance
program. Assistance
has been provided to
bank supervisory authorities
in Cook Islands, Palau,
Federated States of
Micronesia, Commonwealth
of the Northern Mariana
Islands, Lao People’s
Democratic Republic,
Ethiopia, Swaziland,
Ethiopia, Zambia, Zimbabwe,
and Swaziland where
he was a resident advisor
for three years. He
has successfully completed
the Colorado Graduate
School of Banking, and
the American Bankers
Association National
Commercial Lending Graduate
School at the University
of Oklahoma.

Elenoa
Bogiwalu
is
the Information
Assistant at
the Centre. She joined
the PFTAC team in June
2002. Prior to this,
she was employed by
the Reserve Bank of
Fiji and the International
Labour Organization
(ILO). She is assisting
the Project Coordinator
with the general administration
of the Centre, including
in particular the development
and maintenance of appropriate
documentation and records,
IT development, contacts
and correspondence with
member countries and
donors.

Maria
Nina Samuela
is the Operations
Assistant at
the Centre. She has
been working for the
Centre from the very
beginning in 1993. Prior
to this assignment,
her work experience
includes some 7 years
with a travel agency
and 3 years with American
Express Department,
where she rose to the
position of Supervisor.
Later, she joined USAID
as a secretary in the
Program Office, and
also assisted in the
Director's Office. When
joining PFTAC as a secretary,
Mrs. Samuela took on
the principal responsibility
for the accounting and
payments process and
the many official travel
arrangements for Advisors
and participants in
the Centre's regional
seminars. She is currently
pursuing further studies
towards a Diploma in
Accounting.

Peter
Amputch
is
the currently the Logistics
Assistant at the Centre.
Prior to this appointment,
Peter was employed by the
UNDP Office as a registry
clerk. |
